One hot and sunny October day a little bunch of us decided to go to Schnepf farms and see the pumpkin festival. Since pumpkins don't grow in this part of AZ we were curious what a desert pumpkin festival would entail. So we all headed off...

You'll notice we have a stroller but it's only for fun, Julia likes to walk. At least a little...

...and after walking is no longer fun she has her slave adults to lug her around.

But that's OK, we like holding the little wiggle bug... Everyone looks at the map to decide what to see. Goats first, goats later....big decision...

But it turns out to be train first...

Getting inside this train is serious business but Julia's Aunt Jessie and Uncle Chris cheer her up by climbing in with her...

...and since Mommy's there too Julia is very happy with the whole train thing. Greg and Megan run off to scope out the Merry Go Round.

Julia waits anxiously for it to start...(or maybe it's Greg waiting anxiously)

...and Julia has a great time. Greg said she sang all the time the horses were going around.

Next there's a brief slide intermission and Chris went too but the picture of him was all messed up so you'll just have to believe me that he was there.

He's in this picture up in the tube so Jessie is running to get out of the way.

After waiting forever to ride the Queen Bee ride, Megan finally decided to break the chain down. Michelle is trying to pretend she doesn't know her... They both have waited to ride because Megan isn't sure if her stomach will fit under the bar...but it does...

Megan made the bee fly up to the top immediately and it was almost impossible to get a picture but here's our efforts to do so...

Even though it was 137 degrees outside everyone enjoyed the little pedal cars...

and everyone worked up a thirst...especially Megan and Julia

..and then it was off to the highlight of the day...Yup, you guessed it... the goats. You probably thought I was going to say pumpkins. But everyone liked the goats the best.

oh...and there were pumpkins but they were hauled in a put into a field of green bean plants...

...but it was fun anyway. I'm glad you could go with us vicariously through these photos.

take me home, please
